Executive Leadership & Organizational Strategy, Certified Coach, Austin, Texas
Tony Colvin helps leaders find their rhythm and restore organizational momentum. He specializes in removing the “sand in the gears” that causes growth to stall—such as blurred priorities, broken accountability, and internal friction. Drawing on over two decades of experience across global corporations, entrepreneurial ventures, nonprofits, and ministries, Tony partners with executives and leadership teams to create clarity, strengthen alignment, and build systems for sustainable growth.
His diverse operational background includes leading high-performing teams at Dell, helping mid-sized businesses prepare for successful exits, serving as Chief Operating Officer at Stallion Capital Management, and acting as VP of Operations at Affair Recovery. He has also guided community development projects in Haiti and served in volunteer leadership roles across Russia, Kenya, Uganda, and Mexico. As an Army National Guard veteran, he brings a results-oriented perspective where accountability and follow-through aren’t just philosophies—they’re habits.
Coaching Philosophy
Tony’s goal is simple: unlock the potential already inside an individual or team, and make sure the right people are doing the right work. He uses behavioral tools—including the Enneagram, Working Genius, CliftonStrengths,—not to label people, but to cut through the personality guesswork that slows teams down. The result is less second-guessing, fewer redundant conversations, and leadership teams that actually complement each other. His approach blends operational discipline with genuine relational intelligence, challenging leaders to be direct and transparent while building cultures where people want to do their best work.
Who He Works With
Tony works with entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and fast-tracking leaders—COOs, VPs, and directors—who find themselves stuck in daily firefighting mode. They aren’t failing; they and their teams are highly capable, but something is off. The patterns Tony helps leaders overcome include:
- The “Good but Not Great” Plateau: Solid performance that has stalled short of real potential.
- Wrong Seats on the Bus: The right people in the wrong roles, causing friction and dropped balls.
- The Isolation Gap: Leaders who feel alone at the top or overwhelmed by rapid growth.
- Execution Failure: A compelling vision with no daily discipline or clear milestones to back it up.
Ultimately, Tony equips executives to navigate the friction of major organizational changes, overcome the isolation of upper management, and build the day-to-day discipline needed to turn big visions into reality.
Beyond the Boardroom
When he isn’t guiding executives or restructuring teams, Tony is an avid outdoorsman. You can usually find him salt-water fishing in the Texas coastal bays, hiking through Texas State and National Parks, or exploring local wineries. Whether you are sitting in a corporate boardroom or talking business out on a boat, a trail, or a winery, Tony is entirely in his element—connecting with leaders where they are most comfortable to uncover the real stories behind their drive.
